We are all just

We are all just

By Daisy Dai

We are all just little droplets of rain
Tiny splatters drizzling down the
Windshield of a moving car
One minute we are there
The next we are colliding down with
Another droplet rapidly merging with
More and more specks gaining speed
Until we are nothing but streams of
Consciousness blended together
A streak that stands for our moment in time
One stream to account for the billions of
Lives lived, tears bled, love shed, words said
Hundred year increments blended together
Blurring with each other until finally
Just like that our stream ends
Sliding off the car door effortlessly

And new droplets form to replace us
And the car continues driving
