Hello my field daisies!

I went to Yosemite with my parents a couple of weeks ago, which was really fun. Family trips usually entail hiking to beautiful scenic locations and taking a lot of pictures. This photoshoot was entirely impromptu, using my Samsung WB350F, which is why the quality is a bit grainy. It was also a pretty cloudy day, so lighting was next to null. But I think the clouds add to the mystifying quality of the photos. Besides all these quips can be easily fixed with some Photoshop and filter magic 😉

So how did we end up doing this shoot? My father, mother and I were hiking to see some springs when we ran into the Ranger. A real life ranger on a horse and everything. I didn’t know people like him still existed. I felt transported back to time where things were simpler, and time moved slower. Imagine going about your days where the fastest possible mode of transportation is horse. What a life that would be…

The Ranger was extremely friendly, stopping to chat with us, give us directions and even allowing me to do a quick photoshoot with him and his horse. It took some kind consoling and nudging to get the horse to face the camera, but I think she turned out to be quite photogenic. I wish I could remember their names, but alas these details escape me.

As for my clothes, I decided to keep it pretty simple since we were hiking. The jacket I am wearing is one of my new favorites. I love it because it has big pockets sewn in on the inside of the jacket. I can hold my wallet, phone and keys with ease. There are also outside pockets for when my hands get cold. The hood is detachable, the sleeves are so soft and comfy, and the denim gives it a cool twist. I found this little number on the sales rack at Kohl’s too. What a steal! Also for the record, I didn’t hike the whole way wearing those boots. That would be a little insane. Instead I packed a pair of flats, and only put on the heels when taking photographs. These heeled ankle boots are surprisingly comfortable for the height they give me. The back has a rattle snake detailing, giving these shoes extra chicness.

Love ya’ll and thanks for reading!

Hope you have a daisyish day!
