Hello my field daisies!

Ahh it seems I’ve gone on yet another hiatus. My apologies my sweet field daisies, but hopefully it will be my last hiatus for a while because I’ve got tons of time on my hands now that I’M GRADUATED!

Yes it’s been a long time coming, but I finally graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Media Studies. I feel as if a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Finally I am free from the burden of exams, papers and reading. I will miss Berkeley dearly. I remember the first time I came to Berkeley as a freshman and how foreign and frightening it was to me. Now it is a special place in heart, a home away from home, and I hope to one day return.

With all this freedom comes a sense of absolute dread, a fear much akin to the feeling I felt as a freshman, a feeling of I-don’t-know-what-the-fuck-I’m-doing. All I know is that I want to continue blogging, for real this time. Much like a smoker, I know I’ve made this promise before, and again I keep breaking my promise. But it is the start of a new year, and I am feeling hopeful.

In terms of this outfit, it is hella old. I want to say it was from sometime in late October, early November. I mean I still have my tips dyed in these photos, something I cut off ages ago. Pretty much all the photoshoots I am going to post in the coming weeks are old. I have literally twenty something outfits on the back burner that I need to post. Sorry I have been slacking so much ya’ll! IMG_8902

I still think this look is very in despite the fact it is months old. It is military-skater chic. Many think mixing black and brown is taboo, but I like the contrast a lot for some reason. The military jacket ties the black and brown together, and I suggest if you want to break into the black brown trend, I would start with something camo. I got this wonderful vintage camo jacket from a store in San Francisco Mission District called No.

Do you like my shirt? I actually didn’t buy it like this. It was a large men’s shirt I found in the clearance section of Vans that I turned into a cool twist tank. How to cut the sleeves is pretty self explanatory, but if you want to know how to do the twist just watch the video below. It is super easy and turns any shirt into a style piece.

SO PINTEREST!

Lol that line was a Grace Helbig reference.

Do you like my glasses? I absolutely adore them. I got them from a company called Trioo. I think they are better than Warby Parker. Their prices are way cheaper and better quality. I never thought I would be into transition lens, but they are a godsend. Whenever I wear sunglasses, I always have to wear contacts or else I would be blind as a bat. Even then it is still hard to see. I feel like a whole new world has opened with these glasses because I can see so clearly it’s ridiculous. The lens adjust for the perfect sun situation. No more squinting in the sun for me or stumbling around in shades that are too dark! I will be doing a more detailed product review of their lens sometime later, but if you would like to check out their website click here. Use promo code DAISY at checkout to get 15% off your purchase 🙂

Many thanks to my talented friend Encore Maniar for taking the photos. Seriously check out his work on Instagram. It is unbelievable how much talent he has.

Love ya’ll and thanks for reading!

Hope you have a daisyish day!
