I wish desperately to jump out of the
mundane streets
and into the frames of your favorite
movie scene

the charming heroine in the
novel you can’t stop reading

the girl your favorite singer
whispers into your ear

I would stay in your mind as you drift asleep
and be that lovely face that reappears
in your sweetest dreams

So catch me darling for I am
helplessly bored and helplessly falling
for you, hoping one day to steal your gaze
and bask in the aura of your smile
