Hello my field daisies!

A couple months ago I visited Vegas. Now I went with my parents, so I suppose the saying “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas,” doesn’t really apply to me. And given the fact I’m still 20, I couldn’t really drink or gamble.

But that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy my visit. In fact, I had a magical time. Vegas is such a decadent city, where people come to indulge in the finer things in life. In my eyes, Vegas is the new city that never sleeps. No one travels to Vegas in hopes of having a calm, relaxing time. It’s the night life that attracts millions to this city of sin.

An interesting thing I noticed about Vegas is that parking is free everywhere, and hotel rooms are ridiculously cheap. My parents and I stayed at a Rio hotel on the strip for about $60. The business model of  Vegas is particularly interesting. Instead of charging extra for parking, room and board, hotels try to get people to stay and spend money on drinks, shopping and gambling.

One of my favorite spots was the Forum Shops which is connected to the Caesar Palace Hotel. The ceiling is painted with a beautiful, wispy, blue sky. It’s the coolest shopping center I’ve ever seen. You can shop all day and night without any concept of what time it is.

I bought my dress at the Forum Shops. This occasion was the first time I ever made a quick purchase. Usually I like to browse for hours. But I went into the H&M with a mission. I wanted to find a dress that matched the blue buckles on my flatforms. This lacy blue number matched perfectly. The H&M in Vegas there is bonkers, ridiculously cool. I felt like I was shopping in a night club.

In many ways I felt like the people in Vegas were constantly moving, while I was standing still. As per usual, my family trip to Vegas consisted of taking a lot of pictures. I am so glad for the opportunity to appreciate Vegas from a distance as a young innocent bystander, enjoying the bright city lights and its endless possibilities.

Although on the real side, I cannot wait to come back to Vegas when I’m 21. >.<

Only 4 more months!

Love ya’ll and thanks for reading!

Hope you have a daisyish day!

  1. Great images… It’s good to see Vegas when you are young so you can see the differ ence when your old. I recently blogged about that in my las Vegas post. Have visited about 9 times now and every experience is different – a wandering memory

    • Thanks so much! And yes I agree. Now I know the city, so when I return it will feel like I’m returning to a familiar place.

      • Next time will be a whole new experience.. can’t wait to hear about it… Enjoy and keep up the blogging
