Tiny Sparks

Tiny Sparks

By Daisy Dai

Love hits me so unexpectedly.
Like that spark you get when you
rub your finger on a fuzzy blanket
the wrong way.
That tiny white light of electricity
between your finger and the fur.
It stings for a millisecond.
Not enough to hurt you,
just enough to make you notice.
It’s quick. It’s easy. It’s painless.
And it makes me feel alive.
