I know we were never anything
but I cannot help but dream
of how wonderful life would be
Together forever
just enjoying
the sound of nothing
as we sit calmly
drinking coffee
together at last
How wonderful
the sound of you
being you
so whole
so definitive
the way you hold that cup
it makes me want to take a sip
