Hello my field daisies!
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite holiday. Mostly because I like to cook. Thanksgiving food always tastes so good because you have it once a year. I feel like if I ate stuffing everyday I wouldn’t love it as much. After Thanksgiving comes another favorite holiday of mine… Black Friday! I am a complete sucker for deals. Seriously if anything has a sale sticker on it, I am all for buying it.
This Black Friday I went shopping at the Westfield Shopping Center in San Francisco. This place is absolutely gorgeous, with numerous floors cascading down in a circle of escalators.
Since Christmas and New Year’s are right around the corner, you are bound to end up at some sort of party or family gathering in which you need a new outfit. So here are some tips for the proper attire to wear when shopping for clothes!
1. Wear something you can easily take off.
2. Wear something walkable.
3. Wear minimal make up.
If you’re like me, you have to try on everything before you buy it. You want to make sure the thing you wear while you shop is ready for the rapid undressings. I also try to wear a tank top just so I have a base for trying on other things such as a skirt or a really see through top. As for makeup, you don’t want to be the girl that’s left half her face on the shirt that was too tight around the neck. I opted for no concealer, BB cream, or foundation. I only have a little mascara on and some lip stain. Lip stain is great because it lasts all day and won’t rub off on your clothes.
As for the rest of my outfit, I settled for my stretchy high waisted pants that I got at a little vintage shop called No . This place is one of the best vintage shops I’ve ever been to, with a friendly staff and a wide variety of cute and trendy stuff. I am also wearing my sperry topsider boots. I can’t seem to find this model on their website, but their shoes are always pretty comfortable once you break them in. I got this pair a size bigger than my normal shoe size because boots are shaped in such a way that they won’t fall off a size too big. And they are so much more comfortable with a little wiggle room. My cardigan is from Sonoma and I also got it oversized. Bigger is just better.
That’s it for today! Good luck with all your shopping! Yes, it’s hectic, but remember this is also the most wonderful time of the year!
Love ya’ll and thanks for reading!
Hope you have a daisyish day!
Who is afraid of black Friday?
