Hello my field daisies!
So I was watching Lorde’s performance for BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, and I fell in love with the jewelry she is wearing, especially the ring bracelet on her right hand.
Ring bracelets are very eye catching pieces of jewelry, making hands look elongated and slender. They have sort of a gypsy vibe about them. Finding the right ones can be a challenge, especially for me. I personally have very small wrists and fingers. I believe my ring size is like a size 4, but don’t quote me on that. All I know is whenever I buy hand jewelry, I am always skeptical about buying it online because it almost always turns out to be too big. Also ring bracelets don’t seem to be universal pieces, meaning not every company carries them.
But Nasty Gal has come to my rescue, with tons of ring bracelet styles and measurements for all their pieces. (inner sigh of relief)
With thinner chains, you can layer big rings on top of them like the one shown below.
Some don’t necessarily have a “ring” part. Just a loop that goes around your finger.
I adore the Cleo one. Very Cleopatra-esque. The detailing on the bracelet is just so beautifully intricate.
Of course there are also crazy wild ring bracelets as well such as the one shown below. If you want to make a statement, these will definitely do it.
This skeleton one from Hot Topic is pretty interesting. Not my cup of tea, but perfect for Halloween parties.
If you want to find some cheaper ones, Esty is always a good bet. The ring bracelets on this site are usually made to order, so you could write a note saying you would like a specific size. Here is one very similar to one Lorde is wearing, and it’s only 3.99! ($8 including shipping).
Forever 21 doesn’t have a lot of choices. In fact, this is the only one I found, but it’s a pretty good price and really cute.
As you can see, these ring bracelets go by lots of different names: handpieces, ring bracelets, ring-lets, multi finger hand chains… That last one is throwing me for a loop. Anyway I’m sure in the coming years when these things rise in popularity, we’ll all agree on a catchy name. For now I’m just going to stick with ring bracelets.
Love ya’ll and thanks for reading!
Hope you have a daisyish day!
