Steve Madden Wedges
Hello my field daisies!
Today I am showcasing a Les Mechantes Caftan Dress. LM is a boutique store in San Francisco that I and my friend Ariana had the chance to model for when I lived in Berkeley. Their clothes were phenomenal and such high quality. The owners of LM strive to carry local designers and brands, and its private label is made in San Francisco from remnant fabrics sourced closeby.
Our photographer is a very talented guy named Dusty (@pixelvice). You can check out some more of his work on his website. He, Ariana and I decided to shoot deep in the Berkeley Hills. We were fighting the sunlight trying to shoot as many looks as possible before the sun went down. But shooting near sunset created a glowy, wanderlust look, and I am so happy with the way this shoot turned out.
To be honest, when I first saw this caftan dress I was not that impressed. Compared to the other stuff LM had it seemed a bit drab, and I am not a big fan of caftan dresses. But then I put it on and immediately fell in love. I think the reason I never liked caftans was because I never really tried one. They are the most comfortable things in the world. It feels like you are wearing a big nightgown, albeit a fashionable one.
The way this dress drapes on your body is surprisingly flattering, especially with its slits on the sides. The green collar adds such a unique pop of color, and I love the white paint stroke pattern. I was so sad to part with this dress after I was done with the shoot. It’s definitely something I would have in my closet and made me rethink my stance on caftan dresses.
Love ya’ll and thanks for reading!
Hope you have a daisyish day!
