How to make love sparkle again
By Daisy Dai
How to make love sparkle again
That’s the riddle that’s been
on my mind lately
When the flames that once twinkled
and shimmered so
starts fading
A creeping coldness
bringing goosebumps
on even the most
summery sun shining Saturday
A weak sparkle blinking
just enough to keep me
tethered to you
weakly binding our
lukewarm hands together
Maybe I’m overthinking it
Maybe this is just how love goes
But I can’t help dreaming
of those times when
I thought specks of warming
glitter would
dust our fingers
enough glow to
burn for eternity
