the soothing sound
of crashing waves
kissing
the shore:
—it’s healing—
this giver of life,
this body nourisher,
without it, we would be bone dry,
skeletons, parched and robbed of existence.
it’s breathing life into me as i sit here,
it’s more than just a physical need,
the sound of its moving waves
hitting
the harbor:
—it’s healing—
waves of peace wash over me,
watching the children swim,
their laughter mixing with the rushing waves,
their delight liquifying the air with
a wet haze of happiness.
the water, the waves, the way the spray
feels on your skin as you take it all in.
there is nothing like just sitting and breathing
in a body of water.
it recharges the soul.
believe me when i say:
—it healed me—
