Cinderella

Cinderella
By Daisy Dai

it’s midnight and i’m
tired of waiting for
life to begin

i see prince charming
racing down trying to
catch me as I
run away

but i am afraid
he’ll hurt me

so i run fast
enough to where
he can’t catch me

hoping my glass slippers
don’t break and wishing
for something more
