Can you picture it?

Can you picture it?

By Daisy Dai

Can you picture it?
Could you make the leap if I asked politely?
Cruising through the interstate, one hand on the wheel, the other on my thigh,
Can you feel that rush, that high? Our eyes lock,
Click into place,
Can you feel it?
Could you throw away the key if I asked you to?

What if I promised you
Would have me forever?
When the
Worst inevitably comes, I
Would be there to help you see it through.
Wrapping you softly in my arms to ease the pain,
Whispering in your ear everything happens for a reason,
Washing away your fears with my
Warming caress. Carefully cradling your
Weak body, nursing you back to health.
Would you give me that honor?

Darling,
Do you see it how I
Do?
Does your heart
Drum to the same
Doting rhythm?
Dancing slowly,
Draping my arms around your shoulders, your fingers
Deepening the curves of my hips as you pull me close.
Do you want to lightly lock lips as the song softly sings?
