Hello my field daisies!
Now I don’t play golf. The majority of my golf knowledge comes from watching The Legend of Bagger Vance.
But I do live on a golf course. My backyard is literally the driving range.
And as I watch golfers practice their shots, I have come to realize that golf is such an elegant sport: the purposeful backswing, the graceful arc, and the satisfying click as the club hits the ball…
Even the landscape is beautiful with the rolling hills of green manicured grass and the pits of soft silky sand. So peaceful and poetic.
Golfers don’t dress like they are playing a sport. They dress in kakis and polos, like they’ve come straight from a Tommy Hilfiger ad.
So for this photo shoot, I have decided to take a ‘country club’ approach.
Can you imagine me sipping lemonade at the nineteenth hole, waiting for my husband to finish his game?
Hahaha just a joke. I don’t have a husband, and I don’t think I am necessarily a country club kind of girl.
But I do love taking inspiration from how clean and elegant country club wives dress.
The dress I am wearing is Kensie. Its motto is young contemporary clothing, but I have to say this dress looks old fashioned. (in a good way!)
The shape, length, and cut of the dress makes it look like it’s from the 50’s. It is very modest and simple. I love the pearl buttons and the fold down collar. The material is a very light cotton, perfect for the summer.
My yellow flower sandals are Michael by Michael Kors.
My pink belt was given to me by my dear friend Amy.
My earrings have an unknown origin.
Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) this will be my last summer blog post!
Gasp! I cannot believe it’s fall already! I am so ready for fall fashion! Soon the temperatures will drop and layering will begin!
GOODBYE SUMMER!
It’s been a beautiful time, but now it’s back to the books. My infrequent blog posts might become more infrequent now that school is back in session, but I will make it work.
I can’t believe I am leaving sweet home Alabama and returning to California…
A long drive indeed. (get it? long drive? golf pun?)
Haha that’s it for today!
Love ya’ll and thanks for reading!
Hope you have a daisyish day!
