Hello my field daisies!

Today I wish to discuss dreams. Dreams have always fascinated me. I’m an insomniac, so it takes me a really long time to fall asleep. But when I do fall asleep I have the most vivid dreams, and I love dreaming. In my mind, dreams are the keyholes to other universes, allowing you to travel to other realities while also recharging your mind for the real world. I hope that one day the concept of entering someone else’s dreams will become reality. Of course using it for one’s own advantage like in the movie Inception wouldn’t be good. Seeing and manipulating another person’s dream without their consent is violating their privacy. However with virtual reality technologies such as the Oculus Rift becoming more mainstream, I think the concept of inception, entering someone’s dream, doesn’t seem so far fetched. Your dreams should be a amusement park, a place where your friends can meet and have fun.

*Side note: Is anyone else excited for season 2 of Rick and Morty? I am beyond excited. Dan Harmon is a man child genius.

Here is another video just for kicks.

Also the season 2 trailer just for those who still aren’t convinced they should watch the show.

Oftentimes dreamy dreams can turn into nightly nightmares. Last night I had a dreamy nightmare that my brother and I were on a road trip, driving up a treacherous canyon. Once we got to the top, we had to take a bridge to get to the second mountain. The road suddenly became extremely narrow with no side rails, and it was clear that we were going to flip over. And indeed we toppled over the side, falling down into a deep, dark abyss. But since it was a dream we got out of our upside down car unscathed. In fact, we weren’t worried about our health at all. We were more concerned about how we were going to tell our parents that we wrecked our van. We asked all our swim friends, and eventually Stephen and Maggie were the ones that let us crash on their air mattress, helping us find a van that looked the same as our crashed one.

Context: When my brother and I were teens, we were on the Auburn Aquatics swim team. Stephen was one of our swim friends and is still really good friends with my brother. Maggie is his sweet girlfriend, and she is still really good friends with me. In high school, our yearbook had a Best Friends Category, and she, Micheala and I were in that category.

I leave you with a video from one of my favorite YouTubers, IISuperwomanII, and her list of types of dreams.
